Fox & Friends Ridicules Media for Blaming Synagogue Shooter on Trump: ‘He Didn’t Own a MAGA Hat’
The hosts of Fox & Friends ridiculed the media for, in part, blaming President Donald Trump’s rhetoric for the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania synagogue shooting on Friday.
“I was just stunned to see how quick everyone was blaming the president and his tone for what happened,” Brian Kilmeade said on Fox News this morning. “It’s just crazy to make that leap and get politics into this.”
The show then played a montage of news clips showing anchors condemning the president’s comments on “globalists” and Jewish billionaire George Soros — which critics often describe as antisemitic — as well as Trump’s typical heated rhetoric against Democrats and the media.
“This guy, the shooter, hated Trump because he thought the president was a globalist, he did not vote for him, he never owned a MAGA hat, and yet you saw that kinda reaction all day yesterday,” Steve Doocy added, paraphrasing Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr.
The pair of hosts also quoted Trump’s tweet decrying the media for blaming him and other conservatives for the shooting.
The Fake News is doing everything in their power to blame Republicans, Conservatives and me for the division and hatred that has been going on for so long in our Country. Actually, it is their Fake & Dishonest reporting which is causing problems far greater than they understand!
