Joe Biden: ‘Everything’ On the Line for Democrats in Midterm Elections

Former Vice President Joe Biden believes “everything” is at stake for the Democratic Party in the November midterm elections.
“Everything,” Biden said to Politico reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere when asked what’s on the line for the midterms. “It’s simple: everything.”

A generic congressional ballots poll from The Economist and YouGov found that Democrats have a six point lead over Republicans in the upcoming midterms, but for the “Blue Wave” to come to fruition, Democrats need to win at least 23 seats to take the House.

The former VP plans on doing more than just talking about the midterms, as he will plan a number of campaign events to boost Democratic candidates.
Additionally, despite his age, the 75-year-old Biden is still considered to be a top Democratic pick for the 2020 presidential race. According to one theoretical ballot from Politico and Morning Consult, Biden leads Trump by seven points in a 2020 face off.
